Marinated cheese is a wonderful and tasty appetizer or side dish. Any cheese can be used and the choice of spices can also be experimented with. Please note that marinated cheese takes time to sit, so plan in advance.
Ingredients
50 g sheep milk cheese
50 g parmesan
100 g feta cheese
100 g smoked gouda
50 g blue cheese
half onion
3 garlic cloves
2 shallots
50 g green olives
50 g black olives
2 limes
olive oil
spices (pepper, rosemary, bay laurel, salt to taste)
Directions
Cut all the cheese in cubes and place into a bowl. Season with the spices, add lime juice, olives, chopped onion, shallots and minced garlic. Add enough olive oil so that the cheese is covered. Cover the bowl and place it into the refrigerator over night. Before serving, remove the marinade.
